You're working that 20D well here, Mark. I note the one second exposure gives a nice blur to the LHS tree, adding to the feeling or the oriental.

Great Stuff

Thanks David, I would really love to convert my 20D to full time IR (if I had the money) So I could get even more control, especially over my ISO and shutter (Also the ability to shoot hand held would be fantastic) The grain works in these but I have had allot of "ugly IR" as a result of to much grain or too much blur. I was lucky that there was lots of light and little wind this day so I could use faster shutter than my normal 15-30sec.

This is the problem, Mark. You are limited by a filter only set-up, but OTOH you work that very well. Even if you convert to a full IR set-up, the exposure system will still be set-up for visible. With my 40D, I have to work through LiveView to get the best focus and exposure - see my recent posts - but you never have the convenience of visible shooting. However, that is the challenge and the fun.

Cheers

Yea I think I would rather spend the money on a decent wide angle F1.8 lens and to make a clip on filter system as the screwing and unscrewing the filter is the most frustrating part haha

Agreed, Mark - I have seen on the web a system with a hinge so that you attach the filter and swing it into place. Also Cokin does a slide in IR filter - I though I would try that.

Cheers
